Feed the penguins by hand
Get up close and help serve the birds’ favorite meal.
Treat the penguins to fresh fish
There is no doubt about what’s on the menu when the zoo’s fish-loving penguins are getting their bellies full. Stop by the feeding kitchen, take part in hand-feeding, and learn all about these flightless birds. Did you know, for example, that Humboldt penguins have a spotted pattern on their chest that is unique to each individual penguin? See it and experience the penguins up close at the zoo!
Along the way, the zookeeper will share exciting stories about the Humboldt penguins before you meet the zoo’s penguin flock in the enclosure. Here, you will help hand-feed them fresh fish. Afterwards, you are welcome to enjoy the rest of the day at the zoo and explore the many fascinating animals.
Program
11:00
You will meet the zookeeper inside the zoo by the large screen between the flamingos and the Zoo Tower.
11.10
Together with the zookeeper, you will move through the zoo and past the feeding kitchen, where you will collect fish for feeding, before later heading to the penguin enclosure.
12:00
Opportunity to enjoy the rest of the day at the zoo and experience lots of exciting animals.
Age limit
Min. 6 years (the age requirement must be respected). Children up to and including 11 years must be accompanied by an adult (min. 18 years) with their own ticket. For the sake of the animals and the experience, visitors must be able to remain quiet and calm.

By the stairs facing the lake behind the Zoo Tower.
Clothing
We recommend wearing practical clothing and footwear. Please note that umbrellas cannot be used in the enclosure. Prams and strollers cannot be brought along.

The experience lasts approximately 60 minutes.

As we work with live animals, the program may be subject to change. The experience is conducted exclusively in Danish (all experiences are communicated in Danish) and is not suitable for people with limited mobility or wheelchair users.
